Hysteroscopy it is a procedure to examine the womb cavity using an ultrathin optical instrument, called hysteroscope

Hysteroscopy is useful in a number of pathological conditions:

- endometrial hyperplasia;
- endometrial polyp and endocervical polyp;

- submucous myoma of the uterus;
- intrauterine synechiae (adhesions);
- developmental anomalies of the uterus;
- menstrual disorders;

- monitoring after hormone therapy.

Hysteroscopy procedure is as follows:

- Hysteroscopy is performed under a short-acting intravenous anesthesia. Optical system that displays visual images on the screen is introduced into the uterine cavity.

- The cavity of the uterus is carefully examined for accurate determining of pathological process localization.

- Pathological lesion is removed. Optical system is removed from the uterus. Suturing is not required.
